An update regarding Rise Festival 2021 and Coronavirus.
As of 10:00 GMT on 7th December 2021 - There are no changes to the event and we will be going ahead as planned.
Please ensure you meet all travel requirements and for any travel changes, please liaise with your travel provider directly. The festival is not an official authority on your travel.
The current covid restrictions in France are:
- You must wear a mask in public places.
- The pass sanitare must be valid for entry to all stages, ski lifts, hotels, restaurants, bars and clubs.
- You must test every 24 hours to renew your pass sanitaire if you are not vaccinated.
France Entry Requirements:
Those travelling from a Non-EU country, have to provide the result of a negative PCR or antigen test (in paper or digital format) carried out less than 48h hours prior to departure. Self-administered tests (such as free at home test kits), whose results are not certified by a laboratory are not considered valid for travel.
Event Update & Nightclub Closures
The French Prime Minister announced that on Friday 10th December nightclubs are closed. The great news is that this does not affect any of the events including our indoor arena and Bongo's Bingo. This also does not affect the bars, restaurants or après venues in the resort. We would like to reassure you the event and your ski holiday most importantly is going ahead as planned. We do ask that you respect all local laws including pass sanitaire and mask requirements. We would like to also reassure you this is one of the safest events you can attend with all the pre-travel testing, health pass requirements and mask laws. We want to thank you for your kind messages and support.
Switzerland Update:
This Swiss government has now removed the requirement to quarantine completely. However, entry tests are still required.
We understand you may have a lot of questions about the changes. If your question is not answered below, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.

We are working with our partners in resort to ensure there are sufficient facilities to enable all our customers to obtain a PCR test if needed. Information on how to book this will be available in due course.
What happens if the event is cancelled?
In the circumstance the event could absolutely not go ahead due to Covid-19 related restrictions; all bookings would be rolled over to secure a place for 2022 and at the same price as the 2021 event!
What is the French Health Pass?
Currently, all public places in France require a valid health pass- this includes Rise arenas both indoor and outdoor.
The pass is validated 3 ways: proof of full vaccination, proof of a negative test every 24 hours old or proof of recovery from COVID-19 more than 11 days ago and less than 180 days ago. The NHS QR code for vaccination also works. As always, we recommend doing your own research on top of this as this. Please be advised ques will therefore be inevitable at times during the week as staff scan these passes at entry points.

The app for the health pass (“pass sanitaire”) is here: https://www.gouvernement.fr/info-coronavirus/tousanticovid and needs to be ready before you leave.
Or use the NHS pdf, print out or e-wallet version.
Do we need to take lateral flow tests?
These are not an official requirement, though customers are encouraged to regularly take at home test while at the festival to ensure their on going safety.
Do we need to wear masks?
As of 29th Nov, masks are mandatory in ALL public spaces including Rise areas, queues, hospitality venues, ski lifts and lobbies/communal areas of accommodation. We ask all Rise clients to respect the laws of France and wear a mask whenever legally required to do so.
